Could this really happen? Could the man that has crushed my beloved Bears playoff hopes time and time again throughout most of my life actually be coming to assist in that effort? Common sense would say that the Packers would never trade Favre to a divisional opponent, especially not their arch rival/nemesis...right? But what if the Bears were to offer the Packers the best deal for Favre?
In my opinion, the Bears should be thinking daily how to get their hands on Favre. They could easily offer up next years first round pick; they will be using this pick on a QB anyways if they do not have a standout season from Orton or Grossman. Without Favre, their offense is mediocre at best and highly inexperienced in all aspects (running backs, receivers, and offensive linemen). Favre proved last year that he could take a bunch of "no-names" and turn them into an high-powered offense. The even bigger advantage will be the time of possession that the offense will gain which will in turn rest the defense. No defense can be expected to hold for 4 quarters when they are on the field for 2/3 of the game. A huge key to the defense will be if the offense can refrain from 3 and out possessions.
Chicago must do anything and everything to give their best shot at getting #4 into a Bears uniform. Even if it is not possible, let's show the fans that we are looking to win now!
